The stitching we use is called a triple step zig zag. It is not a normal sewing machine stitch, but it is the traditional stitch used to sew panels of sails together. We have two industrial sewing machines that are specifically designed to sew this stitch. The triple step zig zag is basically a triple reinforced seam. One single line of straight stitch just isn’t strong enough to withstand years of abuse. Rather then sew two or three separate lines of stitching to give the seams the strength they need, we use the triple step zig zag and a premium quality outdoor thread.
We want our wallets and gear to be able to take a beating.
